Tameside Youth Championships

Here are the results as far as i can remember for the Tameside championships
which ive just got back from:

Top 4:

1st    Stockport Schools Brass Band	  186pts overall (?)
2nd   Smithills School Senior Brass Band   184pts overall (?)
3rd   St. Helens Youth Brass Band	    182pts overall
4th    Enderby Youth Brass Band	      182pts overall

I cant remember the individually catagorised points, except that Smithills
won the "music", and Stockport won the "entertainment"

Individual Awards:

Best solo cornet:   St. Helens (David G, whose last name i can never
remember the spelling for!)
Best horn:	     Smithills    (Aidan Smith, woohoo!)
Best Euph:	    Smithills    (Jessica Bowman)
Best Basses:	 Smithills    (Nic Hurst, Garry Talbot, Danny Brimley,
Andrew Swinton and Peter Bullock)
Best Percussion:   Enderby    (?)

Congratulations to all bands who took part, some excellent performances,
(Sadly not too excellent a performance from Smithills!!)
