RE: The Harry's

As a mark of respect to the roots of banding should Harry drop the 'H'?

Definitely. 'Arry is a universal brass band term.
When conducting the terms "Arry Trombone, 'Arry Baritone, 'Arry 2nd Cornet
will always gain the attention of the relevant person when you've forgotten
the name. If in a really polite frame of mind 'Arry can be changed to
'Arriet for those of the female gender although in current politically
correct times this can be a dangerous tendency. (Especially said slowly with
a north UK accent.)
My two boys (both brass players) are nicknamed 'Arry 1 and 'Arry 2. At least
when you yell 'Arry you get a response from someone.
It even has royal connotations. Consider the great Sir Circumference of
Goons fame who is an avid fan of brass bands.
One could waffle on ad arrynitum but my vote is for 'Arry
TiBaR
'Arrydale or the Bush
