The championship piece (Wilby's 'Jazz')is a cracker as far as I'm concerned - it might not be to every brass band listener's taste though. The 4th section piece (Henry Geehl's 'Sinfonietta Pastorale') is dire - dull as ditchwater; a piece with little but tunes in - not too bad a premise, but the tunes are very boring; a real nothing piece, with nothing to test individual techniques either.
