List - HNY etc. Im sure you have had the annual round of Carols and
Christmas Concerts and its nearly time to start prepping for the new
season.  Which means "back to the library".

I have considered scanning the entire library and keeping it on CD,
but there is a lot of work involved and there is the possibility of
copyright abuse.  I also expect that this is a small part of the
problem, although the problem needs defining.

I know all commercial (and some shareware) Database products are more
than capable of storing details etc, the key is what you want the
software to do for you.

How about a wish-list of functionality?  (A statement of requirements,
that is).  Nigel will probably benefit from this and others can then
see more clearly what you are after and might know an "off the peg"
solution.
