VerwoodConcertBrass.co.uk are considering designing a searchable database of
Brass Bands in the UK. The brass bands would not necessarily have to be
online. The end user of the database would be able to search for the band in
a number of different formats using the different fields. Primarily by
postcode - so that you would be able to find the closest band - but also by
band name, county etc. The end user would be able to narrow down their
search results by finding the most convenient rehearsal evening and time.
The database would contain information such as the bands rehearsal address,
rehearsal days and times, contact name, contact telephone number both
daytime and evening, website URL, email address and possibly a short
description. The primary key used would be the postcode as this in most
cases would be unique to the band address.

What do you think of this idea? Would your band participate? Any
ideas/feedback would be most appreciated!
