I am pleased to announce the winners of the Internet "Harry's", a series
of awards for Brass Bands on the Internet.
(These awards were previosuly known as the "Oscars" but due to the name
"Oscar" being a registered Trade Mark of the Motion Picture Academy, the
name was changed to the "Harry's" - this was a) to avoid legal action!
and b) to acknowledge the life of the late Harry Mortimer)


Best Commercially Produced Band Website:  Williams Fairey

Best Non-Commercially Produced Band Website: Aveley & Newham

Best Commercial Use Of A Brass Band Website:  Doyen

Most Positive Contribution To Promoting The Movement On The Internet:
Nigel Horne

Best Band Association Website: Southern Counties ABA

Best Contribution To The Brass Band Mailing List:  Alan Morrison

Most Entertaining Brass Band Website:  Aveley & Newham

Best Band Trade Website:  Tie between Doyen & Brass Band World

A graphic to celebrate this achievement will be forwarded to the winners
as soon as I return to the UK.

Congratulations to all, especially nice to see a few newcomers! These
results will be posted to the Brass Band Mailing List and the Brass Band
