A couple questions some folks on the list may be able to help me with. 1) I have a recording of BBC bandstand from sometime in the late 40's or 50's - massed band live broadcast I believe. On the tape is a recording of a Euphonium solo called 'Invinceable' by Herbert Scott. A friend of mine knew Wilfe (he lived for a time in Hamilton Ontario Canada) and asked him about the solo which he said was written for him to perform on the broadcast and that he no longer had the music. Wilfe has since passed on. Does anyone know of this solo? If I were to transcribe it from the tape are there any legal issues I should be concerned with (I believe it was never published). Does anyone know anything about 'Herbert Scott'? 2) Along with the recording above I have a number of broadcast recordings from the late 40's & 50's of a number of the U.K. bands (SCWS, Guards bands, massed bands, etc.,) that were recorded on reel tape from BBC and CBC overseas broadcast. If I were to make these available on the net via MP3 or real audio does anyone know what the length of time is before these become legitimate Old Time Radio?? Grateful for any assistance Cheers Robin McCubbin Weston Silver Band Toronto, Canada --
