Regarding your inquiry number 1., I take it you are referring to Wilf Mountain who
did of course live in Hamilton, in fact was the Bandmaster of The Salvation Army
Hamilton Temple Band for a stint back in the late fifties and early sixties before
going south to Los Angeles for a long spell prior to coming back to Canada and
taking over the Salvation Army North York Band in the seventies. He suffered an
aneurism (sp) while conducting a band practice one evening and never made it. A
terrible loss. A great musician and a top notch, if not the best, band trainer in
the business at the time.
Anyway I digress. I am checking into my Salvation Army Music catalogue(s) and will
get back to you as I am quite sure this is a Salvation Army publication and if so,
it will still be available in some source, That is the piece Invincible.
