Sorry to be controversial, but surely a major factor in the trombone's make
up is that we have the ability to produce vibrato via the slide without
potentially distorting the embouchure, as can happen with lip vib.

Nevertheless it should be down to the individual to decide where or not
vibrato is applied, and how much.
