Perhaps I'm an exception?! I treat my band cornet with much more respect,
perhaps because it's newer, nicer looking etc. In fact I have been known to
borrow parts from it to temporarily replace broken parts like trigger
springs on the band model. That reminds me, my own cornet still lacks a 3rd
valve slide spring and valve cap.... oops!
I look after it more because it's not mine (and I'll get a mouthful + bill
if I break it).
