Spot on Judith!  There is not a judge in the country that would enforce a
contract against a player and make that player pay, say, 5-600 for a new
cornet when repairs would cost only 20.  The band would get 20!

It would not matter whether the contract was made against the parents or the
minor, the above would still apply.
