Mike (and others)-

I make (and made) no judgment about Mr Brownbill one way or the other.  I
was merely relating what he said before he made the announcement and
querying it.

I did this out of a genuine interest in inspiring debate about a system
which, it seems to me, a lot of bandsmen agree does not work particularly
well.  I find it
amazing that so many of us can agree that it is riddled with holes yet it
has remained the same for so long!
