Andy!

       The local grades are now over and done with, the only way you can get
promoted or relegated is at the area contest, so even if your band likes
doing a lot of local contests and you keep coming in the top few, all your
playing for is the experience and the prize money, it will no way affect your
position in your section.    

       So as the system stands at the moment, the position of the band in the
section comes down to One 10min performance on a strange stage.  The point
system is made up of the last two years results and then the new result, so
lets say you came 5th in 1999, 3rd in 2000, and this year you came 1st, your
points are added up which equal 9. The top two bands with the least amount of
points get promoted and the bottom two bands get relegated.
