Dave This piece was on our repertoire a few years back when I played with the East London SA Youth Band.(15 - 30) Very clever variations where original music is played from possibly a 5 of 6 note sequence of the original hymn tune. Nice exposed percussion in a variation which demands accurate counting if you are to play your entry in the correct place. Great opportunities to hear crunching bass trombone notes in one variation and a beautiful slow variation where the euphonium takes the melody. - the whole tune is only heard in the last part of the music. I've had a look at my CD collection and I am shocked to realise that I do not have it but I am sure it is available on CD. You will enjoy playing it and its very listenable Regards Keith Bandmaster Clacton SA Band --
