If by junior class, you mean the junior class at the
National Youth Brass Band Championships, then I think
you're looking at a, perhaps lesser 3rd or 4th section
test piece, some test pieces that Smithills have played
over the last couple of years are: Music from Kantara,
Sinfonietta for brass band (Horowitz, used as areas 3rd
section piece this yr.), Patterns, Triptych etc...
For more, you could try looking at the Brass Band world
website's past results section for some of the youth
contests for a good example of the standard of pieces.
