Gavin,

With regard to the attached message, I have responded that the Guernsey Concert (Brass) Band, may perhaps be in a position to help with a few instruments, and scores. Do you know who the person who made contact is, is the request genuine, and is there an address for the American gentleman or the original contactee?

The reason I ask is that we are a registered charity ourselves, (guernseyconcertband.org.gg), and obviously, it takes a lot of very hard work to raise the money for instruments, and I would not like to think it is like the Nigerian financial scams, and we are just contributing to somebody's pocket rather than a worthwhile cause.

If it can be ascertained that the request is genuine, then I shall recommend to my band committee that we send some of our older instruments, (provided it is not at our expense of course).
