Hmmmm....this is interesting - could this title have anything to do with the
City Of Coventry? Coventry is known as the City Of Three Spires, (The
Cathedral, Holy Trinity and Greyfriars), and was the crest of the much
lamented City of Coventry Band of blessed memory?

P.S. Had a very good days banding at Belvoir Castle last Sunday. An
entertainment contest only in its second year on the cannonade of the
castle. The weather was sweltering - the scenery fantastic and the banding
was of a good quality too! Newstead won with Derwent Brass 2nd. and
Bedworth Brass 3rd. - adjudicated by David Horsfield. This contest should
grow in popularity over the years; with good weather it's a fantastic place
to be - and deserves to attract a bigger entry than 5 bands. Look out for
it next year and give it a go.
