I've played that arrangement and it does have
"editorial" dynamic markings. To be true to what's on the "page"
make sure it's Handel's page. Still it's a very usable arrangement.
I do not mind playing transcriptions of orchestral works but
I think there is a problem when you make changes.
A case in point is the stock "on with the motley"
Eb cornet solo. Parts of the oringinal aria are left out for
the soloist. Rythmns are simplified and a bogus repeat is
substituted for for the ending written by the composer.
One wonders why this is done when the original format is actually
more effective. So the "tune" can be played twice I suppose.
