[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: Soprano Solos
I have done the Tenor aria from Act 1 of The Magic Flute
"This picture" (Dies Bilnis) for soprano and Band.
It is in Eb concert (C for the sop) Works very well.
It is very much like the Haydn concertos 2nd movement in range
and is not too taxing. Not an overwrought arrangement.
Playable by an average band but it's Mozart so clarity is needed.
Can also be used with a tenor vocalist (good one) as there
are no brass bnad oddities in it as is in On with the MOtley.
IE rearranging the ending with extra codas etc.
