Just my opinion...and I am putting on my flame-proof jacket...but I would
leave well alone. The piece is written for a baroque string orchestra with a
group of equal soloists (NB it isn't a solo trumpet feature!!!) and it won't
survive the idiomatic leap onto brass. Where is the continuo part going?
Back row cornets? Please don't do it.
