Both the Hummel, and the Haydn concertos were written for a Keyed trumpet (with keys similar to those found on a Saxophone/clarinet/oboe), not the natural (Clarino) trumpet. They were both written for a chap called Anton Weidinger who was somewhat of a virtuoso of the time, and the helped in the development of the keyed trumpet I think...
