Ain't it time for the powers at be who select test pieces to be performed at the area by 3rd & 4th section bands enter these bandrooms they maybe surprised at what they see: 3 solo cornets, no soprano, no ripieno, 1 2nd 1 3rd cornet, no flugel, 2 horns, 2 trombones, 1 euphonium, 1 baritone, 2 basses, 1 percussionist, now this band would love to go contesting but can't fill the empty seats, to make things worse the set test piece is Lydian Pictures requiring 3 percussionists plus a full band.... COMMITTEES DECISION WE DON'T GO.... WE HAVEN'T A FULL BAND ........ THANKS POWERS AT BE.......
