hello there,
could you please include the following in your news items

SILVER PRIZE IN THE PRIZES AGAIN

Long Eaton Silver Prize Band have had more success recently at the North
East Midland Brass Band Association Contest held at Rolls Royce
Pavillion Moor Lane Derby on Sunday 2nd Februry.  They secured 3rd place
in a strong feild of 8 other bands and their solo trombone player Helen
Grimoldby also won best trombone player of the day!
The band are particularly please as Helen only recently took over the
solo trombone spot in the band. Helen's husband  Chris  who also plays
trombone has accepted a position in the band after a break of 6 years.
       The band are hoping to do well at their next competition in March
at the Midlands Area Qualifying Championships which is held at Burton on
Trent.
