John,
I wasn't complaining about the advert in the paper. I was just commenting on the
fact that it was there in a prominent position for everyone who read the paper to
see.
Believe you me, if I lived closer, and there also wasn't such a hassle for us to
cross the border now, I would be happy to be there.
But in excess of 3,500 miles at this time of the year is a bit much.
Believe it or not, it is cheaper for us to fly over to England or Scotland than it
is to fly down to New York as well.
I do hope you have a good crowd.
Just wish they were coming out this way.
On an aside, about three years ago, it was rumoured that BNFL Band was making a
'cross country' tour of their affiliates or something to that effect.
We found out at the last minute and some were fortunate enough to get some tickets
to go south of the Canadian border to a small town just on the edge of Washington
and Oregon States near the east border of Washington. It was well over 800 miles one
way for us'm to drive there and back during the week.
We do have some B B enthusiasts out in South-Western Canada or as they call it down
Seattle way, the North West!
