hello there please could you include the following in your news items

"Sawley Community centre is in danger of closing down if it doesn't get
more support from its users!"

When Sharon Stansfield, conductor of the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band
read this in the local press she wondered what she could do to help so
she rang Anne Higton of the Sawley Community Association and suggested a
band concert  for a reduced fee. So wheels were set in motion and a date
agreed for Saturday 290303 at 7.30pm.

Sawley Memorial Hall and Community Centre was opened in 1958 and
restored in 1994 and a police office was added in 1997.
The hall has many uses including, mother and toddler groups, keep fit
groups and the Sawley Players and is available for hire by contacting
Anne Higton on 0115 8542027

Long Eaton Silver Prize Band are delighted to be able to help Sawley
Community Association and hope that the concert will be a success. The
band is also trying to raise money because they recently qualified for
the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain for the 2nd
consecutive year and they need to raise =A33200 for the trip to Dundee
in September.

Tickets for the concert are =A34 each which includes a wine and cheese
supper. They are available from Anne Higton on 0115 8542027, There may
be a limited number available on the door as well
