Even so, how many of these do you get - invitees or guests (or perhaps we
should choose an alternative word to "guests" - "gatecrashers"? :-))?
Dozens? And if you don't want them there, there must be some reasonably
polite way of letting them know this, I would have thought.

I agree with others that the sort of publicity this would bring would do
Phillip's band - and to some extent, bands in general - no good. There would
certainly be some with an interest in misrepresenting the band's motives.
