Dear Andy, Warners have got quite a few arrangements of film music, and I believe the arrangers (including Andrew Duncan, Mark Freeh and Steve Sykes) should be congratulated on their achievements- and that's not just because I know some of them are listees!. There are arrangements of music from ET, Return of the Jedi, Braveheart, LOTR, Harry Potter, Gettysburg, Austin Powers, Pearl Harbour available now, and it appears that future releases for Superman, Grease, Friends, On The Town and Star Wars are scheduled during the course of 2003. I appreciate these don't all link to Howard Shore/John Williams - but they're blockbuster type movies which I thought may be of interest to you. You can see the full range of music (including future releases) if you follow the 'Just Brass' link in the site-supporters list at the bottom of this mailing. I've played a few of the works mentioned above and I personally think the arrangers have each now established an impressive track record. So, including music arranged by these guys, any concert programme will be a win, win situation - the audience will love it because of the 'tunes', and the band will enjoy it because of the skillful arranging. Just my opinion ..... :-) CLAIR TOMALIN Flugel Clacton-on-Sea Co-Operative Band -- NJH Sheet Music, bandsman.co.uk/music.htm, Prima Arts, quality music for quality bands, www.prima-arts.co.uk, Toot-Sweet, instrument repairers, www.toot-sweet.co.uk, Free e-mail address with spam and virus removal, bandsman.co.uk/mail.htm this list, send a plain text mail to listproc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx with the following body (not subject):
