HI, John! Thanx for the tip, but I live in the US, so I didn't hear John Wallace... I was joking about "what's a piccolo trumpet"... I was refering to the fact that I first (naively) performed the Brandenburg #2 with one of my youth orchestras on an F trumpet prototype made by Reynold Schilke. This was a lot more work than it had to be!!! I've since played it twice more, next on a Getzen 4 valve picc and last time on my Schilke P5-4 picc. I have since come to favor the sound of the 8 foot natural trumpet (well, SIXish for an F trumpet) but am nowhere near capable yet of performing the Brandenburg on a natural trumpet.... Someday, though.... Guy Clark sop Chicago Brass Band ps, I've already made a posthorn in Ab... piece of cake, if one has the parts!!! -- NJH Sheet Music, bandsman.co.uk/music.htm, Prima Arts, quality music for quality bands, www.prima-arts.co.uk, Toot-Sweet, instrument repairers, www.toot-sweet.co.uk, Free e-mail address with spam and virus removal, bandsman.co.uk/mail.htm this list, send a plain text mail to listproc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx with the following body (not subject):
