It is true that our conductor got a little carried while conducting 'Land of
Hope and Glory' during a practice and stabbed his hand with his baton.
2 inches of baton broke off under the skin between thumb and index finger.
He was rushed to hospital but they couldn't get it out. He had to wait two
days for the operation to remove it.
The baton end has now been removed and those that know him will be glad to
hear that he is recovering.
