I often hear conductors say to guest players 'Do you like that piece? If so I'll photocopy a set for you to take to your band'. I know a flugel solo that I wrote (I haven't written that many so no prizes for guessing which one) became popular in bands in North Wales, every single copy was a photocopy. Not much incentive there to keep on writing is there? As I said, probably nothing will come of it, but it is going through my mind. > Dave. -Nigel -- Nigel Horne. Arranger, Composer, Typesetter.
