This is a big problem over here. I often hear conductors say to guest players
'Do you like that piece? If so I'll photocopy a set for you to take to your band'.

I know a flugel solo that I wrote (I haven't written that many so no prizes
for guessing which one) became popular in bands in North Wales, every single
copy was a photocopy. Not much incentive there to keep on writing is there?

As I said, probably nothing will come of it, but it is going through my mind.
