I have an old record of this played by the Phillip Jones Brass Ensemble. Many of their/Edgar Howarth's arrangements (for Brass Quintet) were published as part of the Just Brass Series. I would suggest contacting the current publisher of the Just Brass series to see if they can contact any of the remaining members of the ensemble for a copy. You may also contact some Swiss Bandsmen at a German language site and ask as well... At 09:32 PM 7/28/2006, you wrote: Is anyone able to provide information on this composition? It is the one where players progressively walk off stage leaving just the Bb bass to play a prolonged cadenza-like solo, after which the players return for the grand finale. I think it was written by Hogarth Lear (Elgar Howarth) but I am not certain. Is it published?
