Does anyone have a copy of this Trombone solo, if possible with piano acc't (admit I haven't heard of such an acc't) which they could e-mail or post to me please? PS has anyone ever arranged this or part of it for brass band? It is virtually a military band/wind band piece to begin with, I think. "The second movement takes the form of a wordless recitative and aria in which a solo trombone dialogues with the rest of the orchestra. It incorporates music originally composed for Berlioz's youthful opera Les Francs Juges". from - http://www.richmondcs.org.uk/pnhberlioz001.html "Symphonie Funèbre et Triomphale was composed in 1840 in response to a commission from the Ministry of the Interior and first performed later that year. The work betrays the strong influence of Beethoven, notably the Eroica symphony for the opening funeral march, and the finale of the Ninth symphony for the concluding movement." -- - - NJH Sheet Music, bandsman.co.uk/music.htm, id xpress, www.idxpress.co.uk, brass band insignia and uniform products, Just Brass, the on-line resource for the world of brass music www.justbrass.co.uk, Prima Arts, quality music for quality bands, www.prima-arts.co.uk, wax-recording.com, simply the best, most cost-effective and least stressful route to recording an album and eBay, the world's largest on-line market place, www.ebay.co.uk Free e-mail address with spam and virus removal, bandsman.co.uk/mail.htm
