| The ground bass of Pachelbel's Canon makes it one of the most famous pieces of music ever written. There are many brass band arrangements of the Canon in D, but none of them have ever satisfied me for one reason or another. It is a piece of moderate difficulty best for bands of 3rd section or above. This arrangement is also available in settings for brass quartet (2 cornets, horn and euphonium), wind ensemble and low brass. |
