Lazy Days

Written for an instrument is often neglected this piece was written to break the mould of brass band solos for brass band.

Although playable by most soloists, through the use of the slow blues jazz style it also appeals to more accomplished players. When playing the piece, the picture you want to paint in the mind's eye of the audience is late in the night in a smoke-filled Jazz Bar. A slow number is being played by the band of a trombone, trumpet, piano string bass and drum kit combination.

As well as version for brass band, Lazy Days is also available as a quartet for bass trombone, piano, string bass and drums.
