Concertina March
Paul Loeb van Zuilenburg
| The concertina, although not originally a South African instrument, has
become a popular local dance and folk music instrument. It is a simple knob-accordion with differing pitches for in and out
movement. The melody was dedicated to a well known concertina player. This march arrangement maintains
elements of its harmonica background with an emphasis on full chords and pleasing cadential progressions. It should be suitable for concert use.
Well known as a South African composer for wind band music, Concertina
March is the second offering for brass band by Paul Loeb van Zuilenburg.
The march is playable by all 3rd section or above bands.
