Welcome to the Cinderford Band's Newsletter! We will strive to keep our friends of the band up to date with all that is going on within the Cinderford Band and our Academy Band. News And Information

Well the summer is over (had it begun)and both band's now look forward to our seasonal programs. A dissapointing result at the Wychavon Contest at Evesham (having played well), put a small dampner on things coming tenth. However everyone enjoyed themselves, and well that is banding as we know it sometimes. We are now looking forward to the local entertainments contest at the Royal Forest of Dean Theatre, Coleford. We are busy rehearsing for the entertainments contest and the band is looking forward to it in a week or so. The band can also be proud of raising more than £250 towards the cost of a uniform for the Academy Band, by having a sponsored walk and barbecue at Speech House in the Forest of Dean. We are also rehearsing and organising our Celebrity Concert with the Ryhmney Siluvian Choir at the RFOD Theatre, Coleford in November. This will also feature our Academy Band too. Cinderford Academy Band

Cinderford Band has it's very own academy band, ideal for all age groups and ability. Recently reformed in 2006 with a new format, including a new venue at the Wesley Church, Cinderford. We offer free tuition and free instrument hire to everyone and we also have great plans for this revised organisation with the leadership of our very own Conductor Clive Lewis.
