The first three sections of this work for brass band and choir have been
completed.
Some sections work well as a standalone item with choir a band, say to finish
a joint concert. In particular we recommend the Sanctus.
Much of the opening section of the Requiem Æternam is unison or rhythmically
equal in the choral parts. Diversion in the parts, whilst deliberately rare,
occurs from time to time in the Kyrie Eleison section which forms the middle
part.
For the full Requiem, however, the choir should be at least 100 in size –
evenly balanced between the parts. The band parts are within the scope of most
bands of 2nd section or above status, and the choral parts are within
the scope of most choirs.
