May 8 and 9, 1998 Hamilton, Ontario, Canada All activities in the Salvation Army, 28 Rebecca Street, Hamilton (McMaster had a space problem) Participants: Alain Trudel, trombone Vern Kagarice, trombone John Griffiths, tuba Curtis Metcalfe, euphonium Marc Donatelle, trombone Alastair Kay, trombone Ron Partch, Partch Brasswinds Kevin Hayward, trombone Rob Somerville, trombone Jay Castello, trombone Rachel Thomas, trombone Doug Burden, bass trombone Keith Kinder, McMaster Dave Buckley, trombone etc. The MSO section had a recording session changed which means it is unlikely that they will be with us although we are still trying to work something out. Schedule as follows Friday 2:00 PM The Antal Dvorak Trombone Soloist Competiton 8:00 PM Low Brass Ensemble Program duets, all the way up to choirs featuring trombones, tubas and euphoniums Saturday 8:30 AM Registration 9:00 AM mass warmup 9:30 - 5:00 Workshops, jazz concert, choirs etc. 8:00 PM Gala Concert Alain Trudel, Alastair Kay, John Griffiths, Curtis Metcalfe and either Doug Burden or Pierre Beaudry (Pierre has a health problem and may not be available) Hamilton Symphonic Brass Choir conducted by yours truly Cost $30.00 Can for all events $15.00 Can for tickets to both concerts $10.00 For tickets to either concert alone Send cheque payable to McMaster University to" McMaster University Department of Art, Music and Drama 1280 Main Street West Hamilton.
