I may be wrong but have a feeling the Royal Buckley Town Band (N Wales) has recently celebrated a mjor anniversary (possibly 125 years). Their current BFBB Directory listing gives a contact as: Mrs MC Shone, 35 Tram Road, Buckley, Flintshire, CH7 3NH. I also recall the Blaina Band (S Wales) claiming a history back a long time. They're not in the Directory but are still in existance. Keith Griffin at the Welsh Amateur Music Federation may have contact details - try phoning him on 01222 394711. Hope this helps Peter Denton Development Officer, National Brass Band Centre (but these comments are still mine and may not directly reflect official policy of either BFBB or BBHT) -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to listserver@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
