New Zealand Nationals

It was a wonderful time in Wanganui! Mixed feelings for me because my
Vonducting band, Levin, scored the highest points in the grade, but my
playing band, Evening Post Wellington, did not do at all well. Can
anyone imagine what it's like trying to play Variations on an Enigma and
Diversions on a Bass Theme with 3 basses (1 Eb, 2 Bb) and no flugel?
The social life was staggering- well done to the Grand Hotel for
sponsoring the event and providing over 500 bandspeople with
refreshment!!
