My job takes me abroad a lot and it is difficult to maintain as much time
for music as I would like - this also applies to my contributions to this
list as evidenced by thre lateness of this reply! The 2 bands I conduct are
very understanding and I have good deputies who take the band in my
absence - this is also good for them as the average assistant MD doesn't get
to wave the stick too often. Another problem area I share with some of you
is that of also being a distance learner - currently also trying to fit in
10 hours per week with the Open University.
How I have any time at all is a miracle but it's become a way of life over
the past few years - you get used to juggling your time!
