I remember playing the first movememnt of the Janacek at college with the brass
band just "shifitng" the orchestral parts around. Obviously the other movememnts
are not going to be quite as amenable as the first movememnt but the one taht
they used for "crown court" years ago I am sure would work really nicely.

As to the Bartok I am not sure about the oter movememnte but I am sure the"game
of pairs" would work nicely. Having done, last year, a succesful arrangement of
a piece that was for french horn an harp for horn and wind band I am  keeping
an open mind about these pieces until I can get started on them. (Actually to
be honest I might prefer wind bandto brass band for the Bartok purely on the
grounds of the avialability of 2' pitch.
