Does anyone know of any arrangements that > have been done? Hi Marie Try Black Dyke for the Aratunian - Jim Watson recorded it with them a couple of years ago. There was certainly an arrangement of the Rondo from the Hummel knocking around some time ago but I'm not sure that it ever made it into print. Neruda: probably not. I can see that this is looking less than helpful! But if you're searching for 'serious' pieces for cornet/trumpet and band here's a few different suggestions: Denis Wright: Concerto Ernest Tomlinson: Concerto Philip Sparke: Concerto Thomas Wilson: Cartoon Edward Gregson: Prelude and Capriccio There are also big pieces by Wilfred Heaton and Arthur Butterworth but I'm not sure of their current availability. My recollection is that they're both blindingly difficult. I'm sure that there are others. Dare I also suggest my own 'Transit of Venus' for cornet and band. No, maybe not, in such august company! In any case I'm not convinced that the Neruda or Hummel would transcribe especially well for band...
