Surely the point here is that we play in a BRASS band, not a "brass and percussion" band.
I'm 19 so I'm not going to go on about the good old days, but surely it's about time someone up there realised that commissioning pieces like this is just going to lead to groups of 3 mainly talented musicians rightly moaning that they don't stand a cat's chance in hell of putting it all in, and eventually, the loss of a large portion of the Brass audience.
