This string of mails has reminded me of the story of the vicar giving his
sermon on how he earnt no money but relied on his congregation to support him
with the money given in the collection. he then glumly stated that on some
weeks this could be a very paltry sum. The verger then stood up at the back
of the church and said that for a mere ten pounds a week he had to keep the
church and grounds clean and prepare the church for every service. The
organist then lent over the rail of the organ loft and that announced that he
got twenty pounds for every service plus extras for weddings. He then turned
round and belted out on the organ "There's No Business Like Show Business!"
