  If it can be proved that the concerts have been performed without
"official" complaint for a number of years and that the format of the event
hasn't unduly changed then it is unlikely that a single complaint will be
upheld.

If the complaint becomes official and is taken up by the local Environmental
Services officer then there is a clear procudure for defending it.

a/ documentary evidence

b/ anecdotal evidence

c/ support of other "local" neigbours.

d/ support of a local dignitary i.e. mp, councillor etc

e/ written explanation of how the event helps the community

f/ comparison of other noise factors i.e. lawn mowers, low flying aircraft,
cars, buses etc

Far afield bandspeople can help by writing to the Environmental Officer to
give anecdotal evidence of when they have played there or the performances
they listened to.
