Do you mean Victor Ewald? As in the new arrangement of one of his brass
quintets? The one I'm thinking of starts with two bars of the tuba in
concert pitch Bb minor, 4/4, crotchet, quaver, quaver, crotchet,
crotchet, quaver, quaver, crotchet, dotted crotchet, quaver rest; Bb C
Db Bb F Gb F Bb F. Or the other one (I'm not sure which quintet was
arranged) begins (4/4, 5 flats again, but now concert pitch Db major)
with tonic chord repeated quavers in the upper parts, and the tune in
the Trombone - minim, crotchet, crotchet, dotted quaver, semi, dotted
crotchet, etc...; Db, C, Bb, F, Gb, Ab, ...
Are either of these the one?
