Re: Re: Can you make a PC sound like a band?

The Soundblaster Live, while a good card uses a format that not many
others use - .sf2 files - its successor, however, the Audigy, uses EMU's
new sf2 banks (yes, if you find someone with them they might work if you
import them) which are supposed to have a little more attention payed to
brass instruments - but still they insist on using Trumpet, Muted
Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone and Tuba - they're the only official GM
insruments, but then, using Cubasis AV supplied with the boards (in the
retail pack, anyway) and an unofficial soundfont you should be able to
make the true BB sound. I've got a cracking Grand Piano sound font - it
takes up 52 meg of RAM mind - each note is sampled individually. The
Brass Band sound font will be out there somewhere - if anyone finds one
can the let me know please.
