Hello brass fans Worcester Concert Brass band (UK) were approached by the BBC in Birmingham to provide background music for a Stephen Poliakoff play on Radio 4. "Breaking the silence" will be broadcast on Saturday 16th June at 2:30pm. The play is about a main obsessed with find a way to bring sound to the movies, while he and his family cope with the changes, post-Russian revolution. Whilst living in an old railway carriage, the family hear a Russian band practicing for Lenin's funeral. For this, Worcester Concert Brass band recorded Chopin's Prelude and Grieg's Death of Ase. The band has not done recording before but enjoyed the experience of the BBC coming to our rehearsal night.
