Do you have experience of conducting brass bands? Do you have a passion for progression? Do you want to join a friendly brass band who is interested in contesting as well as local events? Would you like to get involved in music in Cornwall? Then Saltash Town Band may be exactly what you are looking for. Saltash Town Band has a Main Band made up of approximately 25 musicians. We are a fourth section band that meets every Tuesday and Friday between 7,30pm and 9pm in Saltash. The band has a diverse age and ability range. There is also a Training Band that teaches and develops new players to progress into the Main Band. We are able and interested in playing a wide range of music, with a special interest in Cornish pieces!Each year, the band is booked to play at a wide range of events across Saltash and the surrounding areas. These range from playing on Padstow Harbour, summer fetes to more formal concerts and events for the local Council. These are paid events where we raise money for the upkeep of the band. We also play Christmas Carols in the town and accompany the turning on of the Christmas lights.
